About
Editorial Standards
The principles that govern our journalism, our rankings, and our relationship with readers.
Editorial independence
The Global Educator is editorially independent. Our coverage and rankings are not influenced by advertisers, partners, or the schools we report on. Commercial relationships are kept strictly separate from editorial decisions, and sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
Sourcing & accuracy
We aim to be accurate, fair, and clear. Reporting is grounded in verifiable information, and we attribute facts to their sources. Where possible, key claims are supported by more than one credible source, and each article lists the sources it draws on.
Corrections
We correct significant errors promptly and transparently. If you believe something we’ve published is inaccurate, email editor@theglobaleducator.organd we’ll review it.
Rankings & methodology
Our rankings are produced using a transparent, published methodology. We explain what we measure and how it is weighted, and we apply the same standard to every school. Rankings reflect our editorial judgement and are intended to inform, not to be the sole basis for any decision.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to assist with research and drafting. Every article is reviewed by a human before publication, and we remain responsible for the accuracy and fairness of everything we publish. AI is a tool in our workflow — never a replacement for editorial judgement.
Imagery
Photographs are licensed and credited to their authors. Where an image is illustrative rather than a depiction of the specific subject, we label it as such.
Conflicts of interest
Our journalists disclose any conflicts of interest, and we take steps to ensure they do not affect our coverage.
